Bid support is not complex but one of making sure that all tasks are known, understood and executed in a timely fashion, to meet often challenging timelines.

Bid Mobilisation

As a Full Member of the Association for Project Management, I am a qualified and accredited Project Manager. I use best in class frameworks to manage and deliver projects, successfully.

My project experience spans bidding to mobilisation and delivery in Government & Commercial projects.  Planning resources & budgeting for services in Engineering, Defence, Aerospace, Military Training and Waste Management projects, my experience broad and deep. 

 I have implemented new market propositions successfully, transferred staff under TUPE and achieved mobilisation from bid into service.

Bid Strategy

Bids are strategic! 

You have to provide the best solution for the Clients' requirements while understanding your competition.

I use Black Hat reviews and SWOT analysis of competitors to analyse how bids will perform in evaluation. Emphasising strengths, addressing weaknesses head on and ghosting the competition all rely on good strategy and understanding.

Capture Management well in advance of the ITT informs these processes, getting the team ahead before the competition starts.

Bid Operations

Post covid I took on an operational role as an interim. My remit was to "keep things running" and to introduce Transformational changes where possible. I reviewed the processes and their outcomes. From my experience gained across sectors I was able to articulate the problems and opportunities, and to explain improvement options.

The client team and stakeholders explained the functions and processes, similar to interviewing a Subject Matter Expert for bid content. I used flow diagrams to check and challenge my understanding. With the client team, I provided an overview of the potential for improvement.

These are the skills I have perfected in the development of solutions and challenge of operating models for bids. I add value by challenging the accepted, identifying change opportunities, clearly  setting out how the change can be implemented, and getting stakeholders to buy-in to the change.
